CoRe Finishes P13 & P27
– The eight round of the iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series was held at the road course of the Indianapolis Speedway. Pashalis Gergis alongside Cem Bolukbasi were competing on this track for another hunt on points. Isaac Price did not race due the World’s Fastest Gamer Competition in rFactor2. With 73 tough laps in total around the roval, Pashalis and Cem finished the tough race in P13 and P27.
Pashalis started from 22nd position while his team mate Cem was right in front of him on P20. The start went pretty well for the CoRe SimRacing drivers despite few incidents happened. Cem punted a Radicals driver after the first couple of corners starting a small pile-up behind. Redline’s driver Greger Huttu was also involved in a contact and had to be avoided by the upcoming car field. Lucky enough, both CoRe members could avoid it pretty well. Cem and Pashalis were racing within the Top 20 for the first laps while getting attacked from behind. With Pashalis running on Medium Down Force he had a good advantage in the corners. Additionally the crucial pitstop to come, he maintained his race and pace nicely and was fighting for a good 13th spot afterwards. Sadly Cem had to deal with a black flag given by the stewards due incident limits. A long distance later, Pashalis could safe up a 13th position spot while Cem brought P27 over the finish line.
In the end it was a tough race for both CoRe SimRacing drivers. Pashalis had to admit : “I don’t think there was anything else to get for me.” Fighting with several hardware issues Cem had to say : “The throttle pedal got stuck like 15 times this race, problems are the deadzones. I spun several times. My aim was to finish the race this time only. Time to focus on other events like McLaren’s World’s Fastest Gamer.” The next round of the iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series will take place at Spa.
