CoRe’s 2017 #F1eSports Final

F.Rasmussen P6 at #F1eSports Abu Dhabi Final!
The ending event of the very first Formula 1 #F1eSports 2017 competition was held at the glorious Yas Marina Circuit located in Abu Dhabi. CoRe member and B E A S T Frederik Rasmussen, who got a deserved spot for the final from the semi-final at the London Gfinity Arena before, ended up in a great promising 6th position overall while he was racing against the twenty very best F1 2017 drivers in the world.
The first of the three upcoming final rounds of F1 2017’s races was held at Montreal. Frederik was able to finish on the podium there grabbing valueable 15 points heading to the next two races. For race two, which was taking place at the fantastic Circuit de Spa-Franchorchamps, he had to struggle defending right in the mid-packs due to a tough qualifying session. Barely seeable on the broadcast though, Frederik probably had to fight with front wing damage and lost few positions. An additional time penalty for exceeding track limits made Frederik fall down and made him finish the frustrating race in 14th position. Sadly, no points were rewarded for him in round two.
Having a better race for the final heat at Yas Marina Circuit, Frederik was eager to catch some good double points of the last race. Starting from 12th position in that race, the young danish CoRe SimRacing driver was able to place some great overtakes and a good jump after the mandatory pitstop. Frederik ended up around P7 after the crucial part of the race, could even advance to P6 and finished the race safely. “P14 in Spa and P6 in Abu Dhabi. I am just happy overall with the result. But now back to iRacing!” – tweeted Frederik after the event. Congratulations to the podium and thanks for Formula 1 organizing such a great eSports event. The results of the Abu Dhabi final can be seen below. [Overall Result / Heat 1 – Montreal / Heat 2 – Circuit de Spa-Franchorchamps / Heat 3 – Yas Marina Circuit (Double Points)].
